★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 8,197 reviews · 7 hours (approx.) · from $36Our pick

Review of the Krakow to Auschwitz-Birkenau tour, with transport, museum guide, practical tips, group size, price, and honest drawbacks.

“We went with Hello Crakow who were great at communication before the trip and throughout. The coach was on time for pick up and our guide was well informed and factually accurate. The visit itself was very eerie and sometimes hard to endure as the subject matter is overwhelmingly sad. I would recommend doing this trip once in your life as the world needs to remember to prevent it happening again”

“DO NOT Book this trip. It was absolutely awful. Received message day before trip we had to get picked up at 4:00AM. We arrived at 5:30. Tour company had not bought tickets!!!! Then we waited in line (about 300 people)…ticket office didn’t open until 7:30. By the time we got to ticket office first time available was 1:00 PM!! Tour was great but tour company is horrible. Many people that had booked tours walked right in while we waited.”

“I booked and received confirmation for two people for the 2:15 pm departure a few days prior to the tour. I only booked this tour since the 2:15 pm time was available since I already had another tour scheduled for the morning. At 6:47 pm the night before the tour (after the cancellation deadline), they contacted me via what’s app to please accept the time change to the 10:30 am time. I let the know that I could not accept the time change due to the other booked tour. They refused to refund me despite their late notification. They also were unable to provide the tickets paid for. In fact,…”

“Tour was brilliant. Very well organised, somebody meets you out front of the building, calls out your time slot and checks names, gets everyone set up with earphones for the tour. Then you meet the guide inside, skipping the queue. There is a cloackroom for belongings if needed. Guide was so knowlegeable. Tour lasted 2hrs approx. Nice little coffee shop/gift shop available after the tour.”

Krakow to Auschwitz-Birkenau by minivan with museum guide, hotel pickup, and entry included, but changing times and queues require caution.

“Guarantee skip the line is a JOKE! The tours are operating by group and bring you skip the lines in front of the queues!!! Not sure how they can do that, I feel sorry for other people when skipping the line in front of them. The waiting experience was horrible, they only texted you less than 24 hrs (so that you cannot cancel) and inform the tour start from 2:10am (originally I join 8:10am tour), bus arrive the camp at 4:15am and you have to stand there waiting for tickets until the ticket counter open (open at 7:30am). We stand under -3 degree for 3.5 hours without shelter, water and…”

“Unfortunately our tour time changed which meant a very early start for us as we had to travel. However, that being said, it was completely out-shadowed by the quality of the tour and the visit itself. Our tour guide, Anna, was extremely knowledgeable, professional and ensured we were well looked after. We extremely enjoyed our visit to a most crucial bit of history.”
